Dwelling

It leaps in me and grows in time,
Your heart; for now and ever is mine,
I guard it well, I do my part,
I guard your heart, with just my heart.
It grows each day, this heart oft swells,
It makes more room for yours; here dwells.

Break it, you may; I'll take that risk,
I'll trade my beat for a beat more brisk.
Push me away, and I'll stand in line,
I'll wait for years, I'll bide my time.
Tear me apart, I'll smile through the pain,
I'll rebuild our house, you'll love me again.

We live only twice- as I, and as we,
I'll await our second union to be.
You walk away now; I'll mark your retreat
And when you return, my heartache will fleet,
Sleep will return, I seek it only here;
I seek it to forget you aren't yet near.

Yet.

Delay

delay

Let it be so, I'll wait some more,
I'll wait my time outside your door.

Days I've spent with your visage to keep,
A few more I'll wait, a little more I'll weep
For keeping away, isn't easy and yet,
Knowing the grounds that fate hath wet,

I’ll await the fragrance, lilting divine,
I will wait my time, till you'll be mine,
But till then await His mercy from above,
Till then bear mine; uncontested love.

Morn

morn

Bent akin the light that flows
Upon her, and hence, gently shows
The radiance of the one I sought,
The girl I loved, affections fraught
With perils, that hence the world will throw,
And yet, we’re the union of two, we know
Best to make each morn, day count;
To begin to store little joys we’ve found.

No more

no more

I have moved on, and more so
Today, than I shall let you know
Ever. There is no more any affection;
Only pity - my own for my own affliction.

I no longer love you like the light of the day,
No more do I dance with the winds that sway.
I no longer think of you when I first awake
Or reminisce fondly the faces you would make.

No more is there allure of black hair radiant,
No more are words innocuous, belligerent.
No, I do not love you any more and yes,
Today this much I will dare confess-

I do not think of you when there's a breeze,
When someone calls me, I do not yet freeze
In hope, that somehow it might be you
Calling me rare, in those fond names, few.

I think no more of your head on my chest
Laying in moments that time had blessed,
I no longer yearn for those starry night skies
Or the gaze that was similar from thine eyes.

There is no more love, I do not regret,
Only attempts; futile in trying to forget.
No love, I do not remember you,
And yet, somehow cursed, I still do.

Guilty

little girl2

Forever stirred by the sight of my love,
I wait in realms of the unreal today.
Ethereal, she float into the room and how
Thousand eyes could not draw me away.
She shone, like the gold that morns bring
To a hopeful and un-triumphant soul.
She moved, like royal coronations in spring,
To each queen, another regal role.

What heavens have conspired today,
And what were they stressed to do?
What numerous love gods were at play,
When they gleefully hath blessed you?
For oft did my heart skip and leap
And oft did it sing out aloud,
Happy tears, love did once weep;
Consoled in the throes of a crowd.

Drenched hair, bathed in prurient light
Playfully flirt with the breezes around.
Oh, the dark tresses that beckon the night
And silence here, each whisper and sound.
Quiet room; bustling with noise and still
Nothing else can be heard or seen,
Bent and broken, my strongest will,
By visions of a little morning queen.

Stranger

bike

If you could only see my day start in your thought,

You would spare a moment to do the same.

If only my staid eyes did once get caught,

You would ask to find out my first name.

If a moment’s passing tide should stir your mind,

You could fathom my moment’s pain.

If a breeze should graze your neck from behind,

You would bless all the wishes I’d lain.

If in random beat, you find a step coy,

You could sense my wonder watching.

If just the sound of your name brings joy,

You should see my heart oft leaping.

If only our worlds were not set earlier,

You would know me for who I am, truly.

If only this thought, were in life lovelier,

You would possibly love my love duly.

Little Power

small, contemp, art, clothes

Awake each morn on purpose

Resolve if you should but know it within-

This day is yours, this hour yours to keep;

Let into each moment a little joy, a little spirit,

Let little moments sweep off the ground beneath your feet,

Let little hopes embolden you when the soul is weak,

Let a little love in when someone calls to you,

Let a little love out when you gaze into a human soul.

Let little hugs of cool air set your heart free,

Let little kisses of moist rain caress your face,

Let little songs of joy lend your heart warmth,

Let little turns as the winding roads waltz with you.

For these little moments are yours to keep,

And hold for long beyond all else.

No peaks of tomorrow or conquests big,

Will ever find fit in your heart inside,

Little moments will those small gaps fill,

Little joys in life will show you meaning.

Grace

Beauty

Hidden in the stream of her flowing hair,

Is a charm that unmistakably stays there,

Over the years, over her jobs and roles,

Over paths that have often hurt insoles.

She walks unfazed, with head held high,

Only a silent prayer; a wishful sigh.

Stronger each day, with her quiet will,

Little joys in life she tries to fill,

Doing most with what she has at hand,

Some scheduled, yet some unplanned.

She moves collected, with unmatched grace,

Faltering some; yet with a smiling face.

Now as the long day has drawn to an end,

She smiles with the breeze that heavens will send,

Mother, daughter, friend and wife,

She plays them all; our cradle of life.

And in her is a light that calls to the unseen,

For beauty unaware truly is beauty pristine.

Return

Return

Eyes shut tight, all I see is a blurred speck

I can still feel your breath, warm, upon my neck.

I need you to cup my eyes with your hands,

Asking me again to guess your name.

Only one pair would ever take that chance,

But now I guess it won’t be the same.

I need to feel those eyes smiling back to see,

Like that was the first time they ever saw me.

To look at the lines your eyes will make,

Curling on both ends; two playful nooks

Empower the real in our world, once fake

Return them to me, those rapture looks.

And when the night has set upon the day,

Return to me the pain, that tonight will stay

Watching you leave, but in hope of the next

Morn, that only you make in a twilight hour,

Return to me, even if it were just a pretext,

Or just return my dreams, my love, my power.

Trot

 cloud girl

No hurried steps, no place set

Nowhere to go when she wants to stop.

Slow, unfazed by the weather wet,

She walks; in step with every drop.

She looks for the clouds that conspired today,

And hid each other, to peek just a bit

To watch her dance, to watch her sway,

And when they applaud, dark skies are lit.

No smile as radiant could be seen this hour,

Spirited, light; Nimble-footed, bare--

She sought to appease, to calm with a shower,

A baseless anger, a loveless stare.

Battered souls; drenched,  in the stands

Untouched by water, but wet just the same.

Some fret, some curse, with folded hands,

Many more smiling at the trot of this dame.

Rainman

rainman

Heavens shed tears today

Silently into hours of the night,

Even Gods can feel her dismay

But cry in love past the hours of light.

They would rather not be seen

Watching their loved one mellow,

So tonight, unlike other nights have been,

They turn to the aid of a glad fellow.

Make her smile, they say

For she is hope, we sent down,

To see clear paths everyday

And turn into joys, every frown.

And tried as he did to make her smile

The boy grew fonder of her heart,

Till he could see her beyond barriers of mile

That put those twined souls apart.

Oh, for when she smiles now,

The Gods smile in radiant glow

Wondering what he did and how,

But glad that her smile did show.

Far from her he sits down, glad

That her smile has now returned,

He packs his bag and leaves, but sad,

To where the Gods have now turned.

Morn

So sweet the sound of this pleasant morn

That arises with her as she gently wakes,

A druid’s drug note to this lovelorn

Will prescribe the breathe she now takes.

With her..

china-holding-hands-for-portfolio

What is it like to be around you,

To spend more time in dreams awake,

Looking often for your glances few,

Wondering if the earth did indeed shake.

What is it like to walk by your side,

Lightly each moment to lose sweet sense

Your fragrance lilting a gentle chide,

A casual walk, in a moment - tense.

What is it like to hold your hand,

And blend at once with its feel warm,

Nature, this time did reprimand,

In a mortal, she outdid her own charm.

What is it like to sit by you for long,

And ignore the pace of passing time,

To sense exuberance, watching you on song-

Proud; as your head rests on mine.

Farewell love

walking_away

I hate forever to bid you adieu,

Not right now, not like this;

Yet watch I must as paths anew

Call you toward greater bliss.

Two score days will I see you more,

And then your visage is all that’s left.

Your name will be one by the door,

The one I’ll look for; sad, bereft.

Its not sad that you would go;

For despite my insanity (some),

I did but always know

Someday this had to come.

Its the anguish instead I feel

Knowing I never told you all,

That what I am is every bit real,

Short, but love in no way small.

As you will move away this time

Your return is all I seek to find,

A fool, yes, worth every dime;

Till then will wait - my heart, my mind.

Over coffee..

girl-coffee

Patient eyes overlook crowds in the stands,

She cares not for the passage of time,

No noise, no chaos could tremble her hands,

Purity – irony, in the midst of the grime.

Her silken hair cascades down either side,

A tender twosome tuck them in place,

She leans, resplendent with prime light,

Rays aglow, only to caress her face.

Beauty unaware, truly, is beauty pristine,

Robed in humility, streaming allure,

Her gestures effortless, her grace unseen,

And a smile that urges one to endure.

She pouts to place a cup on her lip,

Lifting the coffee in her clasp - warm,

Eyes hesitate; she takes the first sip,

Her face aglow, as little joys swarm.

Enduring will

Sun Breaking Through Clouds (400)

Shrouded hilltops with layers of mist,

The sun now renders an ominous glow,

The greatest love, old stories insist,

Stem from the will to never let go.

He stands still, basking in God’s downpour,

Face - resolute, he can afford not a fail,

Rooted in belief, he is planted on the floor,

That with passing time, is seeming frail.

On the other side, look up eyes of hope,

She knows not the test he has embraced,

A wild heart; she watches bird flocks elope,

With a lull in the pour, clear air surfaced.

Their time is now, his heart consoles,

Stand strong; for it is the will to hold on,

When shards of pain pierce insoles,

They take you on paths lesser mortals scorn.

United by this hill, separated as well,

Two beating hearts cry out as one,

With passing hours, the rain does not quell,

Love clouds have mellowed the wrath of the sun.

I lived in a time of fear whence,

My wisdom was in abeyance.

It is now I tread in absence of fear,

Wiser that He walks beside me here.

Mother

mom_and_son_bike_ride

Bruised knees, hurt ego, teary eyes;

He sat still, wheels still spinning by.

Hurried feet rush to the sounds of cries,

Adorning affection and a concerned sigh.

Wisdom drops collect, assurance flows,

She worries herself, her image has bled.

Calm is her face, but anxiety shows,

Her clothes now bear wet dabs of red.

Calmer but hurting, his cries turn sobs,

She strokes his hair gently, wipes his tears,

He looks up with a love, that age oft robs.

She beams, he has faced the first of his fears.

Her fallen angel rises, limps on his feet,

Lips pursed; she walks by, feeling his pain,

He will be wary, but will not retreat,

Stronger, God forbid, if he falls again.

Her kind words will fade out one day,

His adult heart will let them through,

But if he falls from a failed belay,

He will dust off and rise anew.

With lots of love to Ma,

Thank you for the testing wisdom and fierce strength you have always provided through your gentle love.

Happy Mothers Day!

Reboot

A_New_Life_by_TheRealKugelfischi
Today the world looks uglier than before,
Pleasant,it seems has walked out the door,
When your faith must walk on a tightrope,
You fall into despair or cross onto hope.

Each day a new thorn gets strewn in your way,
Yet knowing how yesterday gave way to this day,
Pursed lips, grit jaw and a brow furrowed,
We tread the paths fate hath bestowed.

The realm of pain, unbound and replete,
Blots out hope, timid and discreet,
What then must the heart seek knowing fully well,
No force will counter, that pain will not quell.

Time has come now, to empty your hearts,
For new born love and new found starts,
The past be torched, cruelly yet just,
And love will arise from the mound of dust.

Make strides on new paths, on thorns anew,
New pangs of old pain will seem like few,
Cry not in pain, but let out a hoot,
See life as you know it, and then reboot!

"To go forward is to move toward perfection. March on, and fear not the thorns, or the sharp stones on life's path."

-Kahlil Gibran

Hope..

fullmoon-051908-2
Tonight the skies are radiant with hope,
Clearer and closer than ever before,
To touch, at once to feel the glow,
One light to route out the dreary dark.

Starry eyes do once more see,
Lost souls in the heaven’s eye,
A closer look, and in the light can be seen,
The soul of hope is as dark as your own.

It’s solace, no doubt, knowing that we
Draw hope from a source as human as us,
With flaws it cannot hide for long,
Yet unfailing faith, unbiased, unsung.

When my soul oft stirs in alleys of doubt,
I gaze at the crystal ball of the Gods,
For a period even as brief as my mind will let be,
Immortality, in my realms I can see.
